Captain Justin

J Mel the Angler

I was born and raised in South Louisiana. Growing up near water, fishing has become embedded into my lifestyle. I may be new to guiding, but I've been fishing my entire life. I began fishing inshore at a very young age. But when I started learning about bass fishing, I wanted to do nothing but bass fishing. I instantly fell in love with it, which lead me into competitive bass fishing. Although I am still into competitive bass fishing, I have always seasonally targeted inshore fish. Since I have created a Charter bussiness, I have committed myself to inshore fishing for the enjoyment of helping people catch fish and creating an experience that will last a lifetime! I've always wanted a career in the fishing industry whether it involved fishing competitively, commercially, or chartering. So I am excited to take my clients out on the water and share my love of fishing with them.

Daryl Carpenter

Reel Screamers Guide Service

Daryl Carpenter, owner / operator of Reel Screamers Guide Service has been fishing the waters of South Louisiana for years, finally settling on the salty banks of Grand Isle. With a passion for being on the water it was only natural that Reel Screamers Guide Service would eventually be formed. Spending the day on the water with the prospect of fighting some of the many species of fish that the area has to offer is an intoxicating experience for Daryl and he wants to make sure that his customers have a chance to experience this for themselves. Your day will be challenging but fun and relaxing as you enjoy what the Louisiana outdoors has to offer. Reel Screamers Guide Service provides guided fishing trips into the coastal marshes and the Gulf of Mexico from Grand Isle, LA. All of our trips are tailored to your request and we are capable of handling everyone from the novice to the die hard fisherman. Come, experience the best that the Louisiana Gulf Coast has to offer, all the time building memories that will last a lifetime. Bring a camera, bring the kids and we will see about the one that 'got away'.  Why Grand Isle? Of the three major offshore fishing ports on the Louisiana coast, Grand Isle is perhaps the best kept secret. We are located directly on the Gulf of Mexico with direct access to all of the more popular waters that people are familiar with. Grand Isle is a fully functional town with all of the comforts of home. We have hundreds of rental rooms, some starting below $100.00 a night. There are full service grocery stores, marinas, night life, beach access, etc. We rarely encounter the debilitating fog that is common to the Mississippi River. Grand Isle is the best kept secret on the Louisiana coast. What we are about Reel Screamers is committed to providing affordable fun fishing trips along the Louisiana Coast that will challenge your sense of adventure but leave you refreshed after a day of fun on the water. We are determined to assure that your time with us is fun and relaxing while also rewarding. We work hard to see to it that you get what you expect out of your charter fishing trip. How we began Daryl Carpenter, owner / operator of Reel Screamers Guide Service has been fishing the waters of South Louisiana for years, finally settling on the salty banks of Grand Isle. With a passion for being on the water, it was only natural that Reel Screamers Guide Service would eventually be formed. Spending the day on the water with the prospect of fighting some of the many species of fish that the area has to offer is an intoxicating experience for Daryl, and he wants to make sure that his customers have a chance to experience this for themselves. Your day will be challenging but fun and relaxing as you enjoy what the Louisiana outdoors has to offer. Inshore Fishing The inshore fleet consists of two 24 foot Blazer Bay boats. These boats are large and spacious, providing plenty of room for 4 fishermen and the captain. The boats are equipped with all of the required safety equipment. Have a larger party, no need to worry, we try to never say "no" and will be more than happy to call in additional boats to fill your party. Our inland trips, like all of our trips, can be tailored to your specific request. Remember whether you use us or someone else, you are the customer. The normal trip leaves from our private dock. The destination depends on the current activity of the targeted species. You could be fishing the beaches of Grand Isle and Elmer's Island for the summer time specks or hitting the inland reefs, canals, ponds and cuts for Specks or Red Fish. All you will need to bring are your essentials such as sun screen, camera, food, any beverages that you want and everyone of age must have a fishing license. We ask that you stay away from the bringing the big high performance ice chest or spray sunscreen but other than that we are good to go. Aside from fishing, the inland marshes of South Louisiana are full of wildlife. You will enjoy a full day of cruising the marshes in search of your prey all the while enjoying what Louisiana has to offer. Trips usually last about 7 hours afterwards you return to our private dock, where you are welcome to relax and enjoy the evening while your fish are cleaned and bagged for your ride home. You, the customer, will be provided with all of the fishing equipment that you need. Further, we believe that there is no excuse for a captain or a crew that screams at it's customers for missing a hookset or breaking a line, it's all a part of fishing. What do you need to do? Make sure you dress for the conditions of the day, have plenty of sun screen and your camera. Only soft soled, non marking shoes are allowed on the boat. Have your ice chest handy so your fillets have a nice cold ride home. All anglers will need a Louisiana Fishing License. Three day passes are available for $10.00. www.reelscreamers.com

Capt. Lance Walker

Fish Commander Charters & Lodging

Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Captain Lance has been involved with the water since childhood. As a child his grandfather owned fishing camps in Grand Isle, La and also at False River in New Rhodes, La. His family lived on the water every summer. This allowed him to become familiar with fishing at an early age. He continued with this love for the outdoors by becoming a charter boat deck hand at age 15 and became a captain at age 19. Along with fishing charters, he also spent some time in Mexico, Kansas, Kentucky, and Mississippi working on hunting ranches. His passion for the outdoors will ensure that your trip isn’t just a charter; it will be a trip you remember for a long time to come. He has previously worked for several well-known charter companies such as Southbound Charters with Capt. Kevin Hunter (running a 32′ Twin Vee and a 31′ Contender); Strike Zone Charters with Capt. Gary Bonanno (running anywhere from 30′ to 60′ sport fishers); and Paradise Outfitters with Capt. Scott Avanzino (running a 35′ Cabo). Capt. Lance Walker fished in Venice, La for years, but after the storm was forced to move over to Port Fourchon The next year he moved to Grand Isle. Here, he found an untouched resource and has remained there since. I fish offshore around 150 days a year out of Grand Isle, La. I run a 32 foot twin fee catamaran powered by twin Yamaha 300 four-strokes. I have been running offshore charters for over 18 years and have had my own company over 15 years. I have worked hard to build a reputable and well respected business all over the gulf coast. I will continue to put 100% in making your trip "a trip of a lifetime." Frank Dreher

Laid Back Charter

As owner and operator of Laid Back Charter, it is my mission to make sure that everyone that gets on my boat has a chance to experience fishing on the coast of Louisiana in a very special way. I've only been a charter captain for a short time, but I've been fishing all of my life. I was taught by my father and uncle how to fish, respecting the water in which I fish. I've been coast to coast and fished many different locations along the way. I can say without a doubt that Louisiana has the best fishing in the United States. I want everyone on my boat to have the opportunity to catch fish and enjoy the experience of landing whatever may be on the end of the line. I call it Laid Back Charter, because I am very laid back and never put pressure on myself or my customers. Fishing is fun and should always stay that way. I have always gotten as much enjoyment out of watching people catch fish as catching them myself. If you want a good time fishing the coast of Louisiana, please call me and book a trip. I will always do my best to show you all that Louisiana has to offer in coastal fishing.
