This past weekend was definitely hot. With the warmer temperatures the trout seem to be entertaining live bait although the new Vortex Shad in Purple Haze and Shrimp Cocktail worked for us. The bite was very good on Friday but slowed a bit on Saturday which is common due to the boat traffic. We are slowly transitioning to red fishing with cracked crab. On Friday my crew enjoyed 25 reds in just over an hour of fishing which was a great experience and a precursor to what is to come.
