New Orleans / Empire / Buras, LA USA

This morning we had the pleasure to guide regulars Russell Lloyd, Russell Jr. & Jamie from Gretna, LA.

We left out of Delta Marina inEmpire, LA early this morning with the weather absolutely beautiful. The wind was light out the south, the tide was coming in from the Gulf of Mexico at 1.4 ft. range.

We headed out west of the Mississippi River to the sunken islands and reefs near the Gulf.

We made our first set in some beautiful water on a current line and got the SpeckledTrout going into afrenzy. In just about 30 minutes we had 60 beautiful fish chilling on ice. Suddenly a boat came in on us. The fish scattered and the bite was over.

We made a move to one of Footsmonsters spots.

We made our second set getting on another great bite with bigger fish and added 40 more fine Specks to the Yeti.

At 8:30 am we had 100 beautiful Speckled Trout chilling in the Yeti.

We fished a few shorelines on the way back to Delta Marina catching only 3 keeperRedfish.

Russell, Russell & Jamie fished live shrimp under popping corks. I tight linedMatrix Shad soft plastics and the Speckled Trout were hitting anything that touched the water.

It was a beautiful morning to be on the water and another day of fish catching not to be forgotten.

BIG THANKS TO RUSSELL, RUSSELL Jr. & JAMIE!
