Daryl Carpenter, owner / operator of Reel Screamers Guide Service has been fishing the waters of South Louisiana for years, finally settling on the salty banks of Grand Isle. With a passion for being on the water it was only natural that Reel Screamers Guide Service would eventually be formed. Spending the day on the water with the prospect of fighting some of the many species of fish that the area has to offer is an intoxicating experience for Daryl and he wants to make sure that his customers have a chance to experience this for themselves. Your day will be challenging but fun and relaxing as you enjoy what the Louisiana outdoors has to offer. Reel Screamers Guide Service provides guided fishing trips into the coastal marshes and the Gulf of Mexico from Grand Isle, LA. All of our trips are tailored to your request and we are capable of handling everyone from the novice to the die hard fisherman. Come, experience the best that the Louisiana Gulf Coast has to offer, all the time building memories that will last a lifetime. Bring a camera, bring the kids and we will see about the one that 'got away'. Why Grand Isle?
Of the three major offshore fishing ports on the Louisiana coast, Grand Isle is perhaps the best kept secret. We are located directly on the Gulf of Mexico with direct access to all of the more popular waters that people are familiar with. Grand Isle is a fully functional town with all of the comforts of home. We have hundreds of rental rooms, some starting below $100.00 a night. There are full service grocery stores, marinas, night life, beach access, etc. We rarely encounter the debilitating fog that is common to the Mississippi River. Grand Isle is the best kept secret on the Louisiana coast.

How we began
Daryl Carpenter, owner / operator of Reel Screamers Guide Service has been fishing the waters of South Louisiana for years, finally settling on the salty banks of Grand Isle. With a passion for being on the water, it was only natural that Reel Screamers Guide Service would eventually be formed. Spending the day on the water with the prospect of fighting some of the many species of fish that the area has to offer is an intoxicating experience for Daryl, and he wants to make sure that his customers have a chance to experience this for themselves. Your day will be challenging but fun and relaxing as you enjoy what the Louisiana outdoors has to offer. Inshore Fishing
The inshore fleet consists of two 24 foot Blazer Bay boats. These boats are large and spacious, providing plenty of room for 4 fishermen and the captain. The boats are equipped with all of the required safety equipment. Have a larger party, no need to worry, we try to never say "no" and will be more than happy to call in additional boats to fill your party.
Our inland trips, like all of our trips, can be tailored to your specific request. Remember whether you use us or someone else, you are the customer. The normal trip leaves from our private dock. The destination depends on the current activity of the targeted species. You could be fishing the beaches of Grand Isle and Elmer's Island for the summer time specks or hitting the inland reefs, canals, ponds and cuts for Specks or Red Fish.
All you will need to bring are your essentials such as sun screen, camera, food, any beverages that you want and everyone of age must have a fishing license. We ask that you stay away from the bringing the big high performance ice chest or spray sunscreen but other than that we are good to go.
Aside from fishing, the inland marshes of South Louisiana are full of wildlife. You will enjoy a full day of cruising the marshes in search of your prey all the while enjoying what Louisiana has to offer.
Trips usually last about 7 hours afterwards you return to our private dock, where you are welcome to relax and enjoy the evening while your fish are cleaned and bagged for your ride home.
You, the customer, will be provided with all of the fishing equipment that you need. Further, we believe that there is no excuse for a captain or a crew that screams at it's customers for missing a hookset or breaking a line, it's all a part of fishing.
What do you need to do? Make sure you dress for the conditions of the day, have plenty of sun screen and your camera. Only soft soled, non marking shoes are allowed on the boat. Have your ice chest handy so your fillets have a nice cold ride home. All anglers will need a Louisiana Fishing License. Three day passes are available for $10.00.
