David Alphonso

A Captain Amongst Captains. Not only does he operate Redfish nation, but he also works with other captains and established chartering services in the area as a captain for hire. His family is of Islenos decent, Spanish settlers from the Canary Islands; and they've been on the water for generations dating back to the 1780's. His passion is the adventurous hunt for redfish in the interior, shallow marsh. He is a strong advocate of conservation through his community volunteer groups such as the Audubon Institute, LDWF Aquatic Volunteer Instructor Program, Wish To Fish Louisiana, and TAG Louisiana (marine tag & release research). His passion for redfish also drove him to not only compete, but work as crew in tournaments such as the Elite Redfish Series, America's Redfish Cup by Tito's, Inshore Fishing Association (IFA) Redfish Tour, Dockside Marine Redfish Trail, and more.
