Come and fish the coastal marshes of South Louisiana with Capt. Jim Thibodeaux and Fishtales Guide Service. Located one hour southwest of New Orleans in Golden Meadow, LA we are based in the heart of the biggest coastal estuary system in the United States. The network of canals and bayous that weave through our saltwater marshes hold large numbers of speckled trout and redfish. We fish out of 22' to 25' center console bay boats allowing us to go deep into the marsh while still offering a comfortable ride on the open bays. Along with a beautiful sunrise, you will see a scenic landscape like never before. Our marshes are home to a wide variety of finfish and wildlife, including many different types of birds. Our basic fishing trip runs from 6:00am to 1:00 or 2:00pm. Included in the coast of your trip are all fuel, tackle, ice, and live bait costs. Spinning tackle is provided at no extra cost and fish cleaning and bagging is also included. Accommodations in the Golden Meadow area include hotels, cabins, and several campgrounds as well. You will also have the opportunity to purchase fresh seafood at wholesale prices.
