Born and raised in Mississippi, I grew up bass fishing with my dad. As I got older I transitioned from creeks and rivers to bayous and bays chasing redfish and trout. By the time I was old enough to drive my buddies and I were taking boats intended for bayous and bays to explore further and further offshore. There were times where we would be 70mi south of Biloxi in a 24ft bay boat. We didn’t think anything of it, we just wanted to catch fish… and we did. As we got older the boats got longer, our range grew farther, and our fish got bigger. Upon graduating high school I left for Mississippi State University to pursue a degree in Biology. However, instead of studying the books I was busy reading fishing reports and watching the weather, always on the water at heart. After 5 years of undergrad I decided that Medical School wasn’t for me, so I found myself in Venice. Every morning I wake up excited to make memories with my new fishing buddies because nothing beats the look on someone’s face when they land their first yellowfin or see their first marlin.
