We have been on a tear here on Calcasieu Lake with limits of speckle trout hitting the cleaning table daily. All our guides have been catching on artificial lures (Mostly Down South Lures) in few different colors with 1/8oz jig head slowly working over oyster reefs.  We found lot of spawning females around the new moon early in the mornings in a feeding frenzy and next day it was mostly all males in same area.
