Day one with Brent and Nancy Wilson from Michigan found 30 mph winds and not enough water to get into the ponds, but we made the best of it! We started the morning soaking shrimp catching a mess of bay snapper. We moved all around fishing points looking for what ever would bite. With nothing happening we headed to the pass to try and get them on some big fish. Within five minutes we had a bent rod and reel screaming. We hooked a couple fish then headed deep into the marsh to try and find some protection from the brutal winds We ended up finding some bass willing to bite then called it a day around 2 pm.
Thanks Capt T for running the second boat with Mike Tuite and Matt. They are die hards and had a blast.
