Had retired USMC aviator Lt. Col and American Airlines Captain Scott Magidson onboard today. Scott won the trip at the Deputy Jeremy Triche Spots and Dots Fishing tournament in June. Fishing has been off and on recently so we were hoping for an on day. Weather was forecasted good and he brought his friend along for the ride. Bright and early to the trout grounds with a chop on the water. Made it to the first stop and it was Todd with the first fish with plastic. Scott was next using live skrimps. Made a good run then the bite slowed so made a move. Only a couple of fish second spot so made another move. Passed by the first spot we tried and what the heck. Stopped again and he’ll fish on. Made another good run of fish with Scott on live shrimp and Todd back and forth between plastic and live shimps. The winds laid down and it was like a mirror on the water. I broke out my topwater and had some massive blowups and landings on it. Bite slowed so made another move and first cast it was fish on again. The bite slowed and the weather reared it’s ugly face. Had to seek shelter behind a platform till we were able to move. By that time waves were heavy so decided it was time to go in. Great time fishing and telling lies. Thanks for your service Scott.
