Muriwo Unedovi (Greens in peanut sauce)

Muriwo Unedovi (Greens in peanut sauce)

Ingredients

  • 2 bags/ bunches of cooking greens ( such as baby spinach or bunches collard greens) 
  • 1 tbsp Peanut butter 

  • 1 tbsp Olive oil 

  • Salt and Pepper 

  • Red pepper flakes 

  • 1 small onion chopped 

  • 1 tomato chopped 

Instructions

  1. Saute onions and tomatoes in the olive oil. Add peanut butter, season with salt and pepper. If you like your food spicy add the red pepper flakes here. Add quarter of a cup of water to the sauce, reduce heat to medium low and let it simmer for five minutes. 

  1. Add the greens and simmer for about ten to twenty minutes. 

  1. Serve with sadza.
