New Orleans Style BBQ Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1 stick salted butter
  • 2 Tbsp garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp worcestershire
  • 2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 tsp Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning
  • 2 tsp Slap Ya Mama hot sauce
  • 2 lemons, divided
  • 2 lbs, jumbo gulf shrimp, head and peel on
  • 2 Tbsp green onion, sliced, divided
  • 1 loaf french bread, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a large cast iron skillet, melt butter on medium-high heat. 
  2. In the butter, saute the garlic until fragrant, about one minute. 
  3. Add in worcestershire, red pepper flakes, Cajun seasoning, hot sauce, lemon juice from one lemon, and half the green onion. 
  4. Stir and bring everything to a bubble. 
  5. Add in the shrimp and cook in the buttered skillet for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until opaque in the center. 
  6. Remove from heat and plate with the pan sauce. 
  7. Squeeze the other half of the lemon over the shrimp and garnish with the remaining chopped green onions. 
  8. Serve with french bread.
