Left the marina about 6 am Headed to first stop 5 minutes away, in a deep canal. First cast was a double yellow mouth spec on every rod, with double rig cocoahoes as it slowed down after 1hr or so we left with 50 specs. Headed to second stop dropped anchor in a hole in another bayou started catching some nice white trout with some specs on the bottom with double rigs tipped with shrimp put about another 43 specs mixed with a few white trout in the box. Threw some chum shrimp in the water in the same spot started catching double hookup puppy drums about 8 lbs a piece picked up about 15 total with a couple of sheepheads mixed in. After that smoking action we decided to go after some drag stripping reds headed to the ponds as the tide was getting higher first stop we had a double hookup landed three keepers and a few through backs hit a couple more stops in the same pond picked up three more keepers with shrimp on the bottom with a 1/2 ounce jig head. Another successful fall fishing day in Cocodrie.
