The red fishing in Delacroix is off the charts, limits are very easy to come by. The big bulls are not there yet but reds from 12 inches to 25 inches are on just about every point with moving water. It does not matter if you fish the edges of Black Bay all the way up to Spanish Lake they are there. Fish live shrimp, dead shrimp, or a VuDu Shrimp 16 to 24 inches under a cork and you should be successful. Target the edges of the grass lines if there is grass, if not toss right up to the bank and hold on. On my charters the last 6 days we have caught at least 50 to 125 fish a trip. You have to pick through a lot of fish to find keepers but be persistent they are there, and if your lucky you may even hook into a marsh monster like the picture above.
If your looking for a Charter we have a few dates still open at the end of June and July is wide open. You can book on our website www.duvallescajuncharters.com or you can call Captain Cal directly at (504) 957-4549.
