INCREDIBLE BITE THIS MORNING! We had a group of Texans on board this morning. Kenny, Joel and Billy are from the Houston area and are here for two days to fish with us. What a day they had on day one. We left out of the Delta Marina inEmpire, LA early this morning. The weather was looking beautiful after the 24 hour rain we had yesterday. The wind was calm, the tide was very high and falling out. Just the way we like it. It was one stop and only one stop again this morning. We stopped on a shallow water oyster reef and began a drift. On the first cast everybody was hooked up. We stuck the Power pole and the Stiffy and went to work. Kenny, Joel, and Billy fished live shrimp under a popping cork and I tightlined soft plastics. TheSpeckled Trout got into aFrenzy and at 9:00 am we had 100 beautifulTrout on ice in the Yeti. GREAT JOB BY THE GUYS HANDLING THE RODNREELS! GREAT JOB BY DECKHAND HEATHER TODAY SHUCKING FISH OFF HOOKS AND BAITING HOOKS. We will be out again tomorrow with Kenny, Joel, and Billy for day two of their trip with us. YOU TOO CAN FISH WITH US!
