While the sheephead spawn will be winding down… trout are heating up at the rigs and Breton Island, Cobia are showing up early and in numbers, and red snapper opens in Louisiana May 1. Now is the time to book your Summer trips as the marsh can be hot! Red snapper are 4 fish per client 16” minimum; and open 7 days a week to non-federally permitted boats in state waters. Mangrove snapper and Cobia are also a great option in summer if you care to stick your neck out a little past the marsh.
