It was one of those kind of days. Supposed to go offshore but the forecast told a different story. One problem with the story was that it turned out to be dead calm most of the day and we could have gone if we wouldn't have put some reds in the box. So we caught bull reds and drum most of the day. We did detour a little and put a few sheepshead in the box for good measure. Just about every point from lake Barre' to the Caillou Boca has lots of drum and reds on it. All you need is some cracked crab and its game on. We had so much fun catching these brutes on light tackle it should have been illegal. The Penn Battle 3000's were screaming. We also used Abu Garcia Revo Inshore reels. A lot better than heavy tackle. Hopefully we can get offshore in the near future.
