Enjoyed a beautiful morning on the DU fishing with 13 yr old Evan Valicevic . Evan’s mom Becky joined us but did not partake in the fishing. We covered a lot of water today looking for reds as Evan had not ever caught a redfish.... until today. It was a strange morning as most of our highly productive honey holes were not giving up the bronzebacks. However, we did fish one location where the reds were stacked up and hungry. Evan caught at least 12-15 reds on just about every cast. We actually left the fish biting to look for smaller slot reds. Probably a good thing as Evan needed a little break from the fast and furious action. Evan loves to fish and he never put the rod down all morning. I’m looking forward to fishing with him and Betsy again in November. I’m betting Evan will sleep good tonight. Good luck fishing.
